Dato' Adam has more than 30 years of experience in business, management and accounting with professional accounting firms in the United Kingdom and Malaysia. His area of expertise includes corporate restructuring, advisory and finance. He has managed, restructured and reorganized a number of public listed companies and private companies under appointments made by corporates, debenture instruments, the High Court and Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad.

He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia (IPAM), and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He is also a member of the MIA-MICPA Joint Insolvency Practice Committee and previously led the MICPA committee on the comparative study on company winding-up.

Dato' Adam currently holds an auditor licenses and liquidator license by the Ministry of Finance.
